Atika New Capital is a new city located in the heart of Egypt’s Eastern Desert. It is located around 60 kilometers east of Cairo and is part of the New Administrative Capital of Egypt. The city is a planned urban development project with an estimated cost of US$45 billion. It is part of the government's plan to decentralize Cairo, which is the largest city in the Middle East and Africa with a population of over 20 million people. The new city is expected to house up to 5 million residents and will be a major hub for business, education, culture, and leisure. The city is also expected to have a large entertainment district, with cinemas, art galleries, and music venues.
