The Central Iconic Tower is a new landmark in the making in the New Administrative Capital of Egypt. The tower is set to be the tallest building in Africa, standing at a height of 385 meters. The tower is a part of a larger development project that aims to create a new urban center in Egypt.
The tower is designed by the renowned architecture firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), who have designed some of the world's most iconic buildings, including the Burj Khalifa in Dubai and the One World Trade Center in New York City. The tower's design is inspired by the lotus flower, a symbol of rebirth and renewal in Egyptian culture.
The tower will have 75 floors, with a total floor area of 170,000 square meters. It will be a mixed-use development, with offices, luxury apartments, a hotel, and retail space. The tower will also have a public observation deck on the top floor, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.
The construction of the tower began in 2018 and is expected to be completed by 2022. The project is being developed by the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), one of the largest construction companies in the world.
