The Obsidier Tower is a new landmark in the New Administrative Capital of Egypt, located about 45 kilometers east of Cairo. The tower is a unique architectural masterpiece that stands tall at a height of 385 meters, making it one of the tallest buildings in Africa.
The tower's design is inspired by the ancient Egyptian obelisks, which were tall, four-sided, narrow tapering monuments that were erected in ancient Egypt over 4,000 years ago. The Obsidier Tower's design is a modern interpretation of the obelisk, with a sleek and futuristic look that reflects the country's vision for the future.
The tower is being developed by the Saudi-Egyptian Construction Company (SECON), a joint venture between the Saudi Binladin Group and the Egyptian Ministry of Housing. The tower's construction began in 2018 and is expected to be completed by 2022.
The Obsidier Tower will have 70 floors, with a total built-up area of 200,000 square meters. The tower will house a luxury hotel, high-end residential apartments, and commercial offices. The tower's observation deck will offer panoramic views of the New Capital and the surrounding areas.
